Quantity Over Quality

I can’t remember the last time I drafted two new poems in a single day... however, due to the magic of automatic timestamps, I can look it up. Turns out it was February 18th, 2006, which means that today I drafted two new poems (“She Has Burnt the Toast Again” and “Red Again”—I must be on a repetition kick) for the first time in over five years.
Of course, neither of the two poems from February of 2006 has been published, both have been rejected a hatful of times, and both have been edited extensively over the past five years (one of them just a couple of weeks ago), so that’s not necessarily a good thing, but I take what I can get.
Four poems and six submissions to go.
